Yes, in fact it’s a brilliant idea. Why?

Because by being a member of Teacher Tourist you are a member of a trusted community of teachers. Our membership is made up of teachers form around the globe, we share like minds and similar experiences. So, if you are gregarious, have a spare bedroom, can accommodate a guest or two, and would like to share your knowledge and experiences, then this is the service for you.

How exactly does this work?

Well, as a Teacher Tourist you can make it work in a variety of ways.

  • Accept booking for Free – Just enjoy the company of others while they stay in your home. This is just like having some friends to stay, you can show them around prepare some meals for them or just allow them to come and go as they please.
  • Reciprocal – ‘I host you’ and ‘You host me’ in return. This service allows you to host and travel. All you need to do is agree some dates and you get to meet each other twice. Could be the making of some great new friendships
  • Accept Paying Guests – You can charge your guests for one or all of the following: accommodation, a meal, or a tour of the best places in town, or even some Golf. A fantastic opportunity to earn some extra money whilst meeting new people.
